What’s the deal?
I recently graduated from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in North Adams, MA with a dual degree in Sociology and English (concentrating in Journalism). It took me a while to finish college, I guess I just needed some time to grow up and figure out what I really wanted out of life, but I can assure you that I’ve neither grown up, nor figured it out. I arrived in China on August 14, 2007 with plans to teach English, learn Chinese and write as much as I possibly can. Although in this latter quest I may become somewhat of a hermit, I will not let it hinder my experience and sense for adventure, because, after all, I’m in FREAKIN’ CHINA!
I hope you like what you see and come back for more. Feedback is essential. I want to know what I’m doing right, what I’m doing wrong, and what I can do to improve. Also, I’d like to hear your thoughts on China, and your reactions to what I’ve got to say about it…maybe we can even begin a dialogue. I’ll have time on my hands to chat too, so those of you with AIM or Skype, I’m there (just remember, I’m 12 hours (or 11 after daylight savings) ahead of you, so I may not always be available to chat, but I’ll do my best).
WordPress.com is a wonderful blog site, but once in a while, due to circumstances beyond my control, the blog doesn’t always load properly. It may be something on the wordpress server, but more likely it has to do with internet access issues behind the Great FireWall. I apologize for any problems, but it’s not always my fault. If photos, audio or text doesn’t load, try again later.
Thank you for visiting Chris In China.
Sincerely,
Chris G.
